Review of The Help (2011) by Andy B — 09 Nov 2012
Tate Taylor certainly hit the right note in this adaptation. The Help is not been there, done that viewing at all. Focusing on the more ignorant aspects of racism and segregation it uses light hearted humour to elevate it's message.
Viola Davis delivers a spot on performance, however it's Octavia Spencer as Missy who embellishes her scenes bringing standout moments.
