Review of The Help (2011) by Andy S — 01 Aug 2018
The Help, I can tell has a good heart and gives insight on how it was wen black people were segregated. All these women who are occupied with materialistic shit and status sicken me.
It's nice to see the two black maids lighten up and joke around when there around each other. They go through enough hell. Emma Stone is a dear. It's ridiculous though how people used to be so ignorant towards black people.
It's so sad how these black maids were the ones who really raised the kids while there real parents neglected them. It's nice to see that Abilene can get out what she really thinks through Skeeter. It's like therapy. Minnie's hilarious.
What makes this movie so amazing is the way they interweave what was going on during that time and the story of the movie. It's like one second your getting emotional over what's happening between Skeeter and Abilene and the next reality hits, and your suddenly reminded of the brutality and racism that existed back then.
The whole burying of the Blue Box was dark. That was some deep shit, makes me respect the movie even more. That Miss Hilly is going to get what's coming to her. She's so evil and vindictive and fake as fuck. That pie scene with Minnie was fucking genius. The story with Constantine is pretty heartbreaking.
OMG!!! Im so glad Abilene told off Hilly. It's about time that bitch got what she deserved. Getting called godless. That's wassup.
Whoo! This movie brought a tear to my eye. A couple of tears. Very moving and emotional story. I'm so glad this movie was made.
