This movie does an excellent job of staying true to Kathryn Stockett's book. Being that I was 17 when I saw this picture in theaters, I was quite taken aback by the fact that I was the youngest in the whole theater (I get there early and watch other come in).
The younger generation doesn't know what they're missing. The casting was superb and the movie was pretty funny for the subject it was covering. Very, very satisfying watch.
