Review of The Heiress (1949) by Melody L — 02 Jul 2007
Olivia de Havilland earned a well-deserved Best Actress Oscar for her performance as an awkward, undesirable spinster. I thought Miriam Hopkins was great as the bumbling, meddling aunt and Monty Clift was fantastic, as always.
The final scene is the personification of comeuppance.
