I was and am fascinated by Asia Argento's performance, as well as artistic direction in this often at times, disturbing drama based on the memoirs of JT LeRoy. At the time, the 16 yr. old author was hailed as a literary sensation only to be discovered the story is a hoax; but nevertheless, BRILLIANT! Throughout the film, I couldn't help but visiioning a canvas portrait of Courtney Love's own marred life.
