Watch this on your own during a storm.
Undertones of foul, depraved abuse. Obsession, lust and greed all fester among the twisted walls of Hill House. No special effects apart from the "breathing door". Easily a film in my top 3 of ALL time.
And remember! The worst protection against the supernatural is a closed mind.
