Review of The Haunting (1963) by Carl T — 27 Oct 2017
The Haunting is, well, haunting. Go figure. In all seriousness the film does a great job blurring the line supernatural and paranoia. There is also great performances and cinematography. I enjoyed it. Though, I can definitely tell this story was a novel first.
The story relies heavily on psychological states, which works better with prose than with voice over. That isn't to say the film is bad. I'm just saying I can't wait to see what the book is like.
