Review of The Haunting (1963) by Gemma F — 26 Dec 2007
Still terrifying in the minimalist way some radio plays achieve, which may seem like an odd way to recommend a *movie*. Let me put it to you this way: It makes shifting light on a small section of a wallpaper pattern and the sound of a child sobbing enough, on its own, to almost send you running from the room.
Unreliable narrator, narrative, protagonist; totally reliable classic. Yet to be topped.
