Review of The Haunting (1963) by Joey K — 16 Feb 2009
In the beginning, I had my doubts about this film. It's use of inner monologue was quite annoying, but once it got where it was going, I loved it. This film followed my theory of horror movies basically to the letter: Show Less and You'll Get More.
There were some quite legitimate scares, and a very off putting/uneasy feeling throughout the sequences in the house. One scene in particular, focusing on Eleanor and her hand was very intense. Well done, although the company I watched it with won't agree.
