Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by The3Academysins — 22 Oct 2017
The Hateful Eight is a long, slow, beautiful burn of a film that serves as Quentin Tarantino's tribute to John Carpenter's The Thing. Strong characters and dialogue take the center stage in this film. The gory finale definitely delivers in strong, gratuitous Tarantino fashion.
The film kind of loses its steam at some points, which holds it back from being a 9 or a 10. If you can somehow see this in 70mm, it is a solid 8 out of 10, otherwise, it's a strong 7.
