Review of The Guns of Navarone (1961) by Rishi K — 22 Mar 2008
Enjoyable WWII movie that if it is judged by other war movies in 1961, it would probably get a higher rating. However, when you compare it to Saving Private Ryan, I feel the maximum rating is 3 stars. Peck and Quinn are good in their roles and there is lots of action, confrontations, and explosions.
I hate being sexist, but this is a movie that men are probably more likely to enjoy than women.
