I wasn't expecting Citizen Kane, but this movie was so relentlessly formulaic it made me mad. I wanted to walk out. At some point I started to enjoy how much I hated it, so I stayed. The script was completely beneath Penn's abilities.
I'm shocked he agreed to do it.
