Review of The Guest (2014) by Scottie T — 27 Jun 2015
The Guest! The Guest was an amazing film, with great performances from Dan Stevens and Maika Monroe. This movie was surprising I gotta tell you. Dan Stevens was a complete bad ass in this movie and he crushed the role of David, and I just rooted for him the whole movie and loved everything he did and everything he said.
he was just perfect for this role. The soundtrack was incredible, and I loved every song that was in this movie, it just captured the time period it was going for and made it so atmospheric and I really enjoyed that.
the cinematography was nice too, not all of it, but there were alot of nice visual moments that impressed me. The only complaint is that with this movie is that a couple characters were kind of rediculous and I hated some of the characters, I hated the son of the family, he was a complete fuck, complete bitch of a kid, no wonder he gets picked on.
writers need to make strong teenage boys in movies because I never fucking see them EVER and I am getting sick and tired of the cliched fucking depressed loser teenage boy getting bullied at school, having bruises all over then saying it was from a football or some bull shit.
I hate that. there was also a cia agent that I found very, very laughable, and everything that he did made me laugh and kind of took me out of the movies feel when it was trying to be serious. that is basically it though, other than those characters, and a couple of other small little things im not gonna mention because it isnt worth mentioning because ita not a big deal, the movie was a huge surprise and I saw, The Guest.
You take care now.
