I was so excited to watch that movie since I loved and grew with the 2000 Jim Carrey version.
Sadly this was a huge disappointment. The narrator was terrible, his story telling had no edge, no feelings.
The grinch was anything but the one that was written by Dr Seuss. The link between the grinch and Cindy Lou was so weak. The movie was not funny, I felt like I was watching a kid's movie, I was going to fall asleep throughout the whole movie.
There was no emotion in this movie, it was very bland, very mediocre, it did not have a kick, it did not have a rise and a fall, it was boring, and completely ruined the original versions.
As for the CGI, it was very well done, quite impressed.
I guess the downfall of this movie was mainly the story telling done by the director, and also I did not feel Benedict Cumberbatch in the voice of the grinch, as far as I know it could have been anyone.
