Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Isaac A — 09 Dec 2012
The lovable characters in this movie make it well worth waiting through the long running time. It was powerfully acted and immersive enough to keep me on the edge of my seat, but ultimately this movie's strength is also it's greatest weakness.
It's a roller coaster of heartwarming highs and despairing lows which inspire genuine thought on the nature of our mortality, but the deep darkness portrayed soured the movie for me as a whole. Although I don't regret having watched it, I don't believe I'll be walking the green mile again any time soon.
