Great cinematography, decent singing, and great songs may not be able to make up for The Greatest Showman's paper thin story and criminal unfaithfulness to PT Barnum. Hugh Jackman and Zach Efron give decent performances but even the dance sequences are disappointing with them mostly being backflips instead of fancy choreography.

While the music is worth a listen on Spotify or Apple Music, it does not contribute enough to the plot and comes off as bland. This oscar bait is best avoided this holiday season.
