I watched this based on my partner telling me what a wonderful film it was - it is based on a rags to riches story of barnum in victorian england and the class divide. even when he becomes very successful he loses sight of what is important in his life such is his obsession with being seen as successful.

the music was so so albeit a couple of lively and colourful dance routines. to be honest I was quite relieved when it was finished - oliver it most certainly is not !
