Review of The Great Silence (1968) by Moreno L — 14 Sep 2011
Great dramatic spaghetti western. The atmosphere it has is breathtaking. Snowy and silent landscapes just fit perfectly to the sad story the movie tells. It's probably one of the saddest and merciless story you will be able to see on screen. It is also a ruthless criticism to the western society that I personaly agree with.
Kinski is perfect in the role of the villian, as he always is when he plays the bad boy.
This is one of my favorite western of all times (after Leone ones of course).
