Review of The Great Dictator (1940) by Jacob G — 15 Jul 2011
Funny and thought-provoking. While a part of me wishes I could have been alive to see the original theatrical run, that is only a small part of me--the rest is quite grateful to not have been alive for either WW.
Still, this has to be one of those films in which it acted as a bomb--Hitler is somewhat a sensitive topic today, let alone in the 1940s.
