Review of The Graduate (1967) by My Point O — 28 May 2015
I didn't seek out The Graduate. In fact, flipping through horrible cable TV on a Friday evening, I had to make a choice. It was either this or 2 Broke Girls. A no brainer turned out to be so much more than a last resort option.
..The Graduate was a surprising delight. I was thoroughly engaged, I caught myself laughing out loud throughout the movie, and whenever I thought I had it figured out it surprised me. With an amazingly awesome final scene (the CROSS!), The Graduate won me over with its absurdity, realness and overall heart.
The performances were sublime and the story line....well it immediately had me looking into the film lives of Calder Willingham and Buck Henry. Highly recommend for a lazy evening.
