"The Graduate" is by no means a masterpiece, but remains a highly entertaining picture. The impact it has had on modern comedies is more than just astounding and, most important of all, that fact doesn't detract from its beauty - not one little bit.
There's a remarkable number of subtly executed but nevertheless hilarious comedic moments and the whole film feels like an outrageous teenage comedy - yet, from a screenwriting and directorial aspect, a perfectly mature one.
Wow.
