Review of The Goodbye Girl (1977) by Joshua C — 17 Mar 2008
Neil Simon's dialogue is always snappy...a little too snappy. Like so many of his "Odd Couple" type comedies, the one-liners make you chuckle and raise your eyebrows as well. It can be hard to buy into some of the forced jokes.
A funny, cute little movie powered by Richard Dreyfuss' performance. (I can't help but think that he reminds me of Dustin Hoffman--so much energy).
