Review of The Good German (2006) by Nickthecritick — 18 Apr 2022
War correspondent, now in uniform, Jake Geismer returns to Berlin to deal with the Potsdam Conference which will see Truman, Churchill and Stalin present. Here he finds Lena Brandt, the woman he loved and who is now totally dependent on Tully, the man he has been assigned as a driver.
Soon Tully, ready to trade anything, is found killed and Geismer not only sees his passion for Lena reborn but also finds himself at the center of a game of secrets. Once again an experimental film by Soderbergh.
Experiment, in my opinion, once again failed.
