Review of The Good German (2006) by Lawrence J — 05 Jan 2008
This movie fails because it tries to do too much. Its attempt at film-noir seems limited to being shot in B&W. The synopsis sounds like a remake of 'The Third Man', except shifted to Berlin. However, doesn't get near its bootstraps! Clooney and Blanchett try their best, but script is a big let down.
Shame really, great potential wasted.
