This is true fantasy done right complete with plenty of Ray Harryhausen special effects!
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad has everything a good fantasy adventure film needs. Sinbad is a great hero figure. He is sent on a quest full of danger. He's pursued by an evil sorcerer played by Doctor Who (Tom Baker). And there are plenty of beast and creatures thanks to Harryhausen.
Many of modern day adventure films borrow heavily from this film, the story and the style. Plenty of fun for the kids and the adults who just can't get enough fantasy films.
