Review of The Gold Rush (1925) by Mark W — 18 Oct 2012
Charlie Chaplin is indeed very slapstick, Lucille Ball seemed to take major influence from Chaplin's style! Overall the movie had it's comical moments mixed with a rather warm sad feel! I wasn't in fact aware there were two versions but found out that I'd watched the second version, simply because thats the version the DVD automatically played! Overall though it was funny and wipes the floor with today's comedy films!
