Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Kathleen R — 12 Aug 2012
First movie to defy the movie franchise rule-of-thumb, that no sequel can be superior to the first one. I was in awe that I think my jaw was touching the floor the whole time. If Marlon Brando was so endearing as Vito Carleogne, then what is Robert DeNiro, godly? He as so friggin' awesome, I wanna marry him at that time.
This is possibly one of the greatest movie of all-time. You can disregard and ignore every single critic's review on this film, but ten minutes in and ye'll know what everyone's been sayin' for twenty eight years. I haven't seen the last of the trilogy but I gotta say, of the first two this is by far the better (and it's not like the first one isn't good.) And now am afraid to watch the third one, (from what i've read it could ruin the glitter and sparkle I see on this movie series) Just come to think of it, if the first Godfather movie was fabulously shot then what on earth is this one? a heaven sent.? Francis Ford Copolla is a frikin' genius.
