Do sequels get better than this? NO THEY DO NOT! Most certainly equal to that is, which is said to be rare when it comes to making further installments to any franchise no matter how great it may seem. So the big question is where does The Godfather Part 2 succeed were so many others have failed? Well lets find out.

This movie takes place just right after the first instalment where Don Vito is dead and his Michael is now ahead of the family business which is a crime business just to remind everyone, where we see two different stories take place which makes this film not only a sequel but a prequel as well. One story tells us what happens after Michael takes over and the other part tells about his father Don Vito back when he was a child and how he became such a notorious crime lord. And that's especially what I love about this movie is that there is more than just one story to it, which from my point of view makes so much more interesting. But if you want my point of view I find Don Vito's story even more interesting than Michaels because I think it shows a better view of How Don Vito's own sanity was tested when his father got involved with the mob and how it lead to his own family's death and how he had to fled to America by himself for his own survival and how he raised himself in order to fit in with society. I mean I have to feel really sorry for the poor kid on that one since he seemed like such a good kid until that travesty happened to him and then later on in life how he became not only stronger, but a ruthless leader of the mob who one day killed anyone who dared cross him and got his revenge against the mob that was responsible for the loss of his family. And the other story talks about how Michael deals with leading the mob and how he deals with dire situations like when unknown attackers shot up his home and almost killed his family and he was going to get to the bottom of it no matter what. Even though it separates him from his family(well that and the crime business as well) and his own wife starts to grow apart from him, he ignores those signs because he so concentrated on not only whom attacked his house, but his business as well. Since I'm one of those who does not like to give away to much spoilers, I will let you see it to see how things turn out for these main characters.

The second thing that I love most about is Francis Ford Coppola's talent of bringing all of the cast and crew together to make such a fine sequel. I should also mention that fact that he not only directed but also wrote and produced this film as well, so that means that he had the most control of how this fine art of cinema was going to be done. I love how he views the mob as even though they may do horrible crimes for a living, they all have their reasons even though there for good intentions like how Don Vito at first did what he needed to do in order to survive, but then became to attached and involved with the business in order to change himself and even tough he did, he still cared for his workers and his family as well. And also how that he did not want any of his kids to be involved, but in the end his son Michael eventually became the new leader of the mob. Overall Francis is was more than worthy of the Oscars that he very deserved for bringing such fine art to the big screen(I just whish he had a better career later on in life).

And last but certainly not least the last great thing to come from this film are the fine actors that come together to bring these beloved characters to life. Its very rare to see that not only is the main cast putting on a great show, but even the smaller roles are going out of their way to be noticed as well, even if they do not have such a big part like getting killed off in the beginning because they all well know that in order to make such a perfect film that everyone within the cast and crew can make this really work out . Even though true most of the credit still goes to Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, but still it does not mean that even the smallest of roles can't get any credibly. So it proves that everyone in every movie should do their best to make the film work out and they get a great successful film like this one.

Overall in my final verdict for this movie being a perfect sequel to a perfect film proves to anyone that a great further installment under any installment is possible.
