Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) by Carrie C — 07 Nov 2012

This is my new favorite movie. I saw the original Swedish film (â?¤) and I too was very shocked when they decided to make an American version after it had only been released the year before.

All that aside they got the BEST director for this kind of movie to do It and that is why my faith was restored in this film. The movie is exciting, dark and a bit confusing at times ( lots of suspects with Swedish names can get your head spinning a bit) but they did a great job with making the characters distinguishable ( imagine trying to remember like 20 names all while reading Swedish subtitles like in the original).

This is a must watch if you like mysteries and are willing to get through some of the disturbing scenes but trust me they are essential to make you understand the character of Lisbeth Salander which is necessary for the final two films.
