Did no one else here see "Brick?" The filmmaker here seems to have seen that movie and said "Hey, why don't I just rip this off note for note. It's not like anyone will notice that none of these hot young actors can really act and that you can basically figure out where everything is headed in the first ten minutes.
" The film is also excessively lewd for no apparent reason. I don't mind lewdness, but I fucking hate it when out of touch writers think they know what kids today are like. Oh! Beer pong! Oh! Sex! Oh! Rambunctious youth! It's a disaster and worst of all, it's barely entertaining.
Mischa Barton completely diffuses any scene she's in and while Reece Thompson shows an inkling of promise, he doesn't get to do much here other than play the dorky PI. It's not clever, despite the best intentions of the writers.
