Review of The Girl Next Door (2004) by Rhys P — 06 Aug 2009
This movie plunges most guys into a realism of relationships that most of them haven't even thought about. Finally, one mainstream film that realizes that there is more to love than getting laid but that you would rather be with someone you really care about rather than having sex.
Elisha Cuthbert is plays her part phenomenally and you almost instantly fall in love with her. She is gorgeous, funny, and an irresistible smile that makes you smile right back. The social awkwardness of Emile Hirsch and supporting actors, Chris Marquette Paul Dano had me laughing the whole movie.
Never met a single person that didn't adore this movie. That's why I'm giving it a perfect score. If you're deep, don't watch this with shallow friends, it will only ruin the sense of romance that some real people see in one another everyday, and if you are shallow, just stay away from this film.
