Review of The Girl from Paris (2001) by Sv G — 18 Jan 2008
A young woman from Paris has decided to leave her technical job behind in Paris and go the French countryside and learn to be a farmer. She purchases a farm from a not so friendly elderly man who is a widower and though she purchases the farm, she agrees to allow him to stay in the farmhouse for 18 months until he can move to his nephew's.
During that time she not only learns to farm the land but the two learn from one another. This is a good film but it was a little too slow with not enough content within the script to fill a full length feature.
Some of the farming scenes where they are slaughtering cattle are very graphic and disturbing to watch & I could not review this film without warning of that.
