Review of The Gift (2015) by Jluis_001 — 06 Sep 2017
If there is something that sometimes a lot of people likes to forget is their past in their school, especially if they were bullied or if they were the bullies, or if they were the nerds or those that had all the popularity and that in their maturity they lack of it.
The school sins return home in The Gift, a slow-burning thriller is a modest but complete film, marking the directorial debut of Joel Edgerton, (who also gives himself a principal role). The film is a genre exercise that walks on the psychological grounds and alternates with those of the psychopath stalker.
The Gift is a complete, well-written and well-directed thriller, an excellent debut by Joel Edgerton.
