Review of The Giant Gila Monster (1959) by Madison S — 19 Nov 2007
Actually, it's really a beaded mexican lizard, but in black&white, you'll never know the difference. they used a real lizard on a few $1.99 diaramas (you don't have to have a behind-the-scenes featurette to know this).
the lead character is supposed to be wrongfully accused as a delinquint, what with his soda drinkng gang, his half crippled kid sister, and strumming his christian rock music on his yukaleli (okay, I dont know how to spell).
lizard is so slow that all they have to do is step out of the friggin' way. from Ray Kellog, who brought us Killer Shrews, this is just as bad and just as entertaining because of it. look for the colorized version (kinda interesting).
