Review of The Giant Gila Monster (1959) by Jacob G — 29 Nov 2011
A fun cast of characters muddle around trying to figure out why people are going missing. (Hint: It has to do with a Giant Gila Monster.) It takes you back to a different age of America and the society presented is more interesting than the actual plot.
The movie is shot fairly well, with the exception of a lot of the Gila Monster shots, which are obviously just a small lizard climbing pebbles... but these kinds of tricks are why we like watching old monster movies, right?
