Review of The Gay Divorcee (1934) by Blake P — 17 Aug 2011
Lots of fun and quite funny. Astaire and Rogers are great as always in chemistry, dancing and verbal sparring. Edward Everett Horton is hilarious as always and Eric Blore has a humorous role as a hotel employee.
A good solid story that doesn't try to overplay any gags and has great musical numbers including Night and Day and The Continental which won the first Oscar for best song. Lots of fun.
