Truly unique and daring, Miranda July's lengthy meditation on adulthood, acceptance of responsibility, and individuality strikes deeply and honestly. With infusions of what might be considered magical realism, it remains a puzzle box that pushes at the boundaries of what is possible with film.

Born out of a performance piece, July utilizes a talking cat, a creeping t-shirt, odd interpretive dance, and time travel. Yet despite its desire for personal exploration, it still remains funny. If you're looking for a movie for the person who has seen everything, you've found gold.
