Review of The Future (2011) by Nick O — 05 Nov 2012
"The Future" comes off best as a big interpretive art piece emotionally privilege only to those who have ever felt as weird in a relationship as the two people in the one at its center. Sure, I can't cop to understand or even totally dig all of it -- but I think Miranda July does, and the most strange, confused, and frustrating aspects of "The Future" are things she has on her mind a lot.
And I like that.
