Review of The Fugitive (1993) by Leighton T — 24 Apr 2011
A terrific and well crafted thriller which has a script that formulates suspense and great characters around a familiar formula. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones head a nice cast and make for a wonderful two man game, even though they're hardly in the same frame at the same time.
Even though I figured out who it was pretty early on, the film does a good job of changing things up, keeping you on your toes, even second guessing yourself. Terrific editing, nice cinematography, and nice (albeit very 90's) score abet the film.
Probably the last true genre film to be nominated for Best Picture (not including the now 10 nominees per year).
