Review of The French Connection (1971) by Tor M — 30 May 2014
A very neat thriller with Hackman in top shape. The plot is very classic and it got a dirty and real feel where we follow some cops trying to get onto some sneaky fellas dealing with drugs.
Kind of a slow cat and mouse game with really original, fun and intense chases - some great car camera action is some of the treats you will get. It's both intense and intelligent and it's everything you should want from a NYC cops versus bad-guys flick.
It has aged well and is still relevant and it still feel well made.
This is a classic 70's film of it's genre.
8 out of 10 ankle guns.
