William Trench: I can't move.

Harry Faversham: The poison's paralyzed your legs. It will wear off soon.

William Trench: I thought it was supposed to kill me.

The only reason I wanted to see this movie was because Heath Ledger (Harry Feversham) was in it it but ended up watching the entire film because the primary cast of actors were absolutely awesome and some of my favorites. I mean there's Heath who gave an absolutely brilliant performance (especially during the scene when Abou (Hounsou) gives him the bread....EPIC!); then there's Djimon Hounsou who is always great no matter what role he plays, this one is no exception, of course, and it is always a treat to watch the realiably talented Michael Sheen (William Trench) at work and a surprise bonus treat was also seeing adorable Kris Marshall, who plays Edward "Vicar" Castleton but I will always fondly remember as the cute and charming Colin Frissell from "Love Actually". Kate Hudson (Ethne Eustace) was alright, no a bad performance from her but not her best work either. I have never been a fan of Wes Bentley and most of the film that I've seen with him in it have been terrible that I've begun to gauge that films with him in it would generally turn out awful.....his performance in this one was just so wonderful that he redeems himself. The story was good, a little sadder and a bit depressing that I'd expected but very cool overall.
