It's pretty, but that's about all The Four Feathers has going for it. The film is slow, plodding and doesn't quite make sense. Character motives don't ring true and plot details get lost in Shekhar Kapur's desire to create something epic.
The film seems to engulf its characters, leaving little room to identify with them and overpowering some good performances from the cast.
