Review of The Fountainhead (1949) by Kye B — 02 Jun 2007
This is an important movie for those who loved the book. Many people hold the opinion that the movie skews authorial intent, but this view is based in ignorance, as the screenplay was written by Ayn Rand herself.
The movie also uses sexuality in a much more over fashion than other movies of its time. King Vidor had a knack for doing this, as another one of his films, Duel in the Sun was labelled "lust in the dust" by some conservative critics.
