Review of The Flowers of War (2011) by Jon P — 12 Aug 2012
Large and epic, deeply gritty and filled with great performances, the Nanking massacre is worth-telling again and again, so we might never forget. Bale is excellent as per usual, but it's really Yimou's directing that constantly wows.
