Saw this on 20/1/15.
Although it may seem melodramatic at the second half and a tad bit longer than it should be, The Flowers of War is a well intentioned movie with heart and expertly crafted war sequences. It's characters, acting and cinematography are spot on, but the songs in the second half are a bit distracting and unnecessary.
