I was disappointed after seeing the film. My expectations were high due to the critical acclaim. The young girl & her mother were great characters & their acting was superb. William Defoe had a hum drum janitor/hotel manager role & played it dutifully.
It lacked the wonder of Stand By Me. It reminded me of a modern day Midnight Cowboy(family version). Stick with 3 Billboards & Lady Bird for a cinematic home run for 2017.
