Review of The Flock (2007) by Amanda Jia Yi T — 12 Jun 2008
I watched this by accident and have to say was impressed. We all know gere can do charming but his portrayal of the broken and dangerous erroll must be one of his best roles. I found his characters extra-cirrucular activites almost as equally disturbing as the registrants he was investigating.
In that way this film is really provocative but I am unsure if that was it's intention. Also the vigilanty episodes detract from the support group showdown scene which could have had more power. Given the recent success of gone baby gone, I wonder way this film has such a low profile.
Also reminiscent of 8mm. Overall, lacking in realism but pretty good none the less.
