Review of The Final Destination (2009) by Tarrin R — 03 Nov 2012
Bereft of ideas, The Final Destination delivers a gimmicky, uninspired film that borders on self-parody. This time the main event is a stadium collapse at a racetrack, and the survivors try to stave off death by identifying the signs of how the next death will occur.
Unfortunately, this film was made for 3D, and it's painfully obvious; as the film is full of cheesy, overt 3D shots. Consequently, the CGI is awful and makes everything look cheap. The Final Destination goes through the motions, but lacks the energy and imagination of the other films.
