Review of The Filth and the Fury (2000) by Chris J — 15 Aug 2016
Somewhere in between the true life accounts of the surviving members (and special archive footage of the late Sid Vicious)in this doc and even in Malcolm Mclaren's side of the marketing aspect of the group (Documented in the Great Rock n' Roll Swindle, also directed by Julien Temple) is the true story of the world's most notorious punk band.
More emotionally gratifying and personally compelling than Swindle. Probably the only time you'll see Johnny Rotten cry albeit in silhouette.
