Review of The Filth and the Fury (2000) by Thomas L — 15 Aug 2016
A film that shows just how much the Pistols influenced music, and to see through the ridicule to what they were all about. I still need to hear them now and then when I need to stay up that extra hour or two, and need to find the voice in me that can get buried in the much that they were screaming against.
The memories of the Pistols is forever tied to Sid Vicious, but not many realize that he came on the scene during the band's demise and they had already accomplished what they were all about artistically.
They can never be glorified and apologize for or too, because they made sure that would never be a mainstream "product" and that is why they refused to appear and accept the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
